University Looms...

So I'm returning to university for my second year, and the best part about that means that i get a whole new bedroom to make my mark on! Hooray! Here are some ideas and aspirations for my lovely new room :)

British Fashion Sketchbook

This was my year 13 exam question on cultural fashion, and because i have an obsession with punk, mod and generally everything British, I decided to focus on that. I looked at everything, beginning with street fashion, moving on to punk and mod, then combining it with the traditional English dress, such as fox hunting outfits and Saville Row tailoring.

year 13 Art - Trapped

Concerning being trapped in several senses of the word. Firstly i looked at being trapped in a small space, like a prison, leading on to the idea of Bedlam lunatic asylum, and then trapped in a mental sense, within an illness.

This mouse was part of a huge pencil drawing that was displayed in the museum at Bedlam Hospital museum.

After a photoshoot using the costumes that i'd made for my year 12 drama piece, I drew some close ups.
